Q & A with Proffessor Jamie Davies
Kirkstall recently caught up with Professor Jamie Davies to discuss his recently published paper which used Quasi Vivo®, Symmetry-breaking in branching epithelia: cells on micro-patterns under flow challenge the hypothesis of positive feedback by a secreted autocrine inhibitor of motility.
Jamie is a Professor of Experimental Anatomy at the University of Edinburgh and focuses his research on;
- The developmental biology of organs
- Developing methods for engineering mini organs in vitro
- Using synthetic biological techniques to make self-organising patterns and forms
- Running IUPHAR’s main database on drugs and targets.
